Sunday Scrappin'

Hi everyone! I am so excited school is finally out here. Friday was my last day. Now maybe I can get serious about scrapbooking! I had to completely move my desk and all of my scrapbook supplies this weekend, so I really want to scrap! But that's probably not going to happen until birthday parties are over. My twins turn twelve this month. My son is having his party Wednesday. We're going to an Astros game. My daughter is having a slumber party (sleepover) Saturday. So, instead of scrapbooking, I've been doing other paper-related crafts such as banners, invitations, decorations, and so on. I did PLAN a page (mono-chromatic to meet the challenge), and I got my materials together, but I never had a chance to work on it. Here's a sample of what I did this week:

Those are my only ta-da's. Here's my to-do list:

1. Make two scrapbook pages.

2. Organize my scrapbook paper into my new shelves that came in this week.

That's it!

This week's challenge is to do something with lace. I've already done some wedding pages, so I'm going to have to think of something else that I'd like to use lace with.

Just for the record, it's hot here! Our high was a warm 92. I mention this because Amy said they FINALLY turned on their AC this week. Ours is on almost year-round here in Texas! I can't imagine it NOT being on. I guess that's another reason to like scrapbooking. It's indoors! Happy scrappin'! Click here to see what other scrapbookers have been doing.

  1. I love your banners. Happy Birthday to the twins! This is the first weekend we had to use the AC here in NY, it is so hot its been in the 90's. It's hard to adjust because just the other day felt like fall now its like August weather. Good luck with your goals.

  2. OK, so, you've just confirmed for me that I'll never live in Texas- I couldn't deal with this heat year-round! I'll mail you some Ohio snow in a couple of months! :)

Enjoy all your parties and fun this month. I think everyone's doing a little less scrapping right now.

  3. Love all the items you made - way to go...WOW!!!

We finally turned on our AC this weekend...frig - it was hot here - and the humidity was incredible.

I went to Texas for a soccer tournament a few years back - LOVED IT, but it was hot...but I think what people around here call a dry hot! Not that our hot is wet...hee hee.

Thanks for the knock knock jokes! Appreciated!!!

    Cheers!
