Give Me Five!

The 'Give Me Five' Monday meme is designed to share fun information with each other in a simple short list! Here's how it works. Each week, Becca will put out a random topic from a list of topics, and you share 5 answers of your choice on the given topic and link back to her!

Give Me Five links to your own past blog posts that are most memorable for you, and say why it stands out as a favorite. (in no particular order)

1. Goodbye John - As I was going through my oldest posts, I noticed this one. It's especially poignant for me because today is my mother-in-law's birthday, and we always feel a sadness when a mother outlives her son. (originally posted May 3, 2006)

2. One Big Happy - a brief post about my "new" family and a picture from our wedding, although not the best one we had. This photo is almost three years old. I wish I still looked like that! (originally posted on January 31, 2006)

3. What Was I Looking For? Why am I in Here? - My very post ever! I didn't post a lot at first, because I was trying to figure out the blogosphere. I don't think I know a whole lot more now, but I sure post more often! (originally posted December 13, 2005)

4. In the Last Hour - This is a post I wrote for Sunday Scribblings. In it, I reflect on my father's last hour of earthly life. I miss him so much! (originally posted December 12, 2006)

5. Goosebumps! - This is another post I wrote for Sunday Scribblings. I explain some things that give me chills, and it gives the reader some insight into who I am. (originally posted August 12, 2007)

I really must acknowledge how lucky I am: so far I've lost only one person I really cared for & that was 19 years ago. I'm so sorry for your loss. You're lucky to have had such a wonderful father.
I have to remind myself frequently (when the readers aren't comin' around) that I'm bloggin' for me. I'm so glad I came across it. Yours is a treat. :)

I think seeing someone's first post is cool. I was extremely clueless, too!!!
