Cruising, on a Tuesday afternoon..

We are not home right now.  We're in the middle of the Pacific Ocean on a cruise, and at the time this gets posted, we are likely headed to Ensanada, Mexico!  This trip wasn't just coming out to California to hop on a cruise ship but also to finally meet my son's soon-to-be Mother-in-Law and her brother and his partner. I felt like I knew them already, but a formal meet-up was quite nice. DH and I also went to Universal Studios Hollywood.  (I'm a big Harry Potter fan.)  More about that later!
Music I was thinking of when I made the title

Let's just get to some funnies.

It's NOT easy being green!

Mine is #17!

I see what they did there!

Hello, Hello

Did you sing that Beatles song?  "I don't know why you say goodbye; I say hello."  Great song that was on my mind just now.  What better way to start a happy and random post?

My husband and I drove to Dallas Thursday to spend some time with one of our daughters, then he left for Austin a couple days later (another daughter), and I flew home Sunday night.  The rain finally decided to come to Texas, and it was a scary night flight.  We were sitting on the tarmac waiting for clearance to fly for half an hour due to weather.  It was a turbulent ride.  I had visions of lightning hitting the plane or us crashing into another plane due to low visibility, but I arrived safely, if not feeling a little discombobulated.  Obviously, or I wouldn't be writing this.

I found a new favorite drink this weekend.  I don't drink coffee, so I've never purchased any sort of drink from Starbucks, but my son-in-law introduced me to a tea recipe that I loved!  I don't know what it's called, but it has black tea, ice, water, sugar-free vanilla syrup, toffee-nut syrup, a splash of sweet cream, and a dusting of cinnamon.  I can live without the cinnamon, but this drink is delicious!  I tried to recreate it at home with just vanilla coffee creamer, and it's good, but not the same.

Moving right along...

Random Nonsense and Happy Times Ahead

I'm happy to report that Mom is doing much better and completely out of the hospital.  They even took her off oxygen, and she's holding her own.  Unfortunately, I'm a little under the weather, and I need to get better now!

My birthday is coming up, and I'll be visiting one of our daughters in Dallas first, then another in Austin. We usually take a trip right around my birthday every year.  This one will be shorter because we planned a cruise with my sister and her husband the following week.

While I'm in Dallas, my daughter and I are going to Pinner's Conference.  I'm so excited!  It's "The place where Pinterest comes to life."   There will be almost 300 booths for shopping and make-and-takes, and 120 classes in topics such as sewing, painting, cooking, health and beauty,  wellness, crafts of all kinds,  and so on.  It's going to be awesome!  And it wasn't super expensive.  We will shop, and meet new vendors (including Bearly Art), and we're attending two classes.  The last one will be over at 6, so it's going to be a full day!

When we get to Austin, we can celebrate this little cutie's first birthday (which happens in about 10 days)!

She just started walking about a week ago.  And we'll see this little beauty, too!

Being a grandparent is such fun!

And speaking of fun, here are some funnies:

We're finally in the 90's instead of the 100's

Sorry I haven't been around much lately.  My mom has had some health issues and is currently in the hospital.  I should be back soon.  Thanks!

Fun Photos

These photos were taken at my daughter's wedding in November, 2020 at Morgan Falls in Alvin, Texas.

Prayer before ceremony... No peeking!

The beginning of happily ever after.

Please  pray for my daughter as she undergoes surgery today to remove her thyroid due to cancer.  She just turned 27 and has a long life ahead, I pray.

I'm linking up at image-in-ing and wordless wednesday.

Random, Happy Tuesday

Hi all!  Quick question... do you plan your blog posts ahead of time, or do you let them happen organically?  I'm just curious!  Let me know in the comments, please.

Many of you know we moved my mom to memory care and much closer to me, so now my sister sees her even less than she did before.  That makes me sad.  But I see her almost every day, and... she was able to let one of her cats move in, too. She can't really remember if she has fed the cat and she can't bend down to scoop the litter box, so I go over and take care of that.  And if I miss a day here and there, the litter box is large enough that it doesn't truly need to be cleaned out but maybe 2 or 3 times a week.  I have the cat's dry food in a gravity feeder, so she always has access to it.  Bluebell seems to cheer Mom up.

It's been two weeks now since my botched surgery. My stepson (who is in the medical field) told me to retain an attorney which I haven't done yet, but I've started looking, and has told me to call the insurance company and ask for an investigation in whatever charges come from this surgery.  With my family history of cancer, the fact that I have to wait another 6 weeks (8 total) to maybe get the original procedures done makes me nervous.

Let's lighten things up!
This cracks me up!

I could see me doing this!

This is valid!

Hahahaha!

Definitely a Dad joke!

Last, but not least...
Definitely me!

Post-Easter Frenzy

Howdy!  I hope you had a great Easter weekend (or whatever holiday, if any, that you celebrate).  We visited the grandkids, and it was amazing!  The first little one is now 3 years old, and the newest little one is six months.  Her personality is really starting to show!  We "hid" eggs for the 3 year old.  So fun!  We miss them already.

Back to real life... Appointments!  Too many!  Care plan for my mom, meeting with her nurse practitioner, GP, ENT, and cardiologist for me, then surgical pre-op next week.  Seems non-stop, but all I want to do is craft, sew, watch TV, and color.  I decided to take an online coloring class from Kit and Clowder - just for grins.  I'm starting with a free class, so I can see if it is something I'd want to do more.  I haven't started it yet, but I have good intentions!

Now for some funnies!

I would never do that!  Gross!

I wish we could do this!  Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George gets charged for not cancelling in 24 hours.  I think there was also a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode about this.

This is, unfortunately, too true...

And last, but not least...
Everyone say, "Awwwwwwwww."

Have a good week!
