The Women, The Movie

The Women. Seems like a funny title, don't you think? I am anxiously awaiting the release of this movie on September 12. Think I'll take myself to see it for an early birthday present. I've already been having fun reading about the film, the cast, and the crew.

Watch the exclusive mini-documentary, The Women Behind The Women.

Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Jada Pinkett Smith, Eva Mendes, Cloris Leachman, Candice Bergen, Debbie Mazer, Debra Messing, Carrie Fisher, and Bette Midler all in one cast! Unbelievable!

The screen play was written, directed, and produced by Diane English of Murphy Brown fame. Based on a 1939 film, the movie portrays a diverse group of friends, at the heart of which is Mary, whose husband has been cheating on her. The conflict develops further when her best friend finds out about her cheating husband before she does.

This is definitely a chick flick kinda movie! Although male characters are mentioned, not a single man appears onscreen in this movie. But with this stellar cast of award-winning women, I don't think I'll miss them!

The Women is sponsored by Dove's Campaign for Real Beauty. If you have a teen or pre-teen daughter, this is really worth a look! Check out the Self Esteem Zone. You can also get free samples of Dove products.
