To Superbowl or NOT to Superbowl?

That is the question... being posed over at 5 Minutes for Mom. They've posted some great tips to save time and money in case you're one of those people who is actually throwing a big party.

I noticed some of you have great recipes posted. Tamy at 3 Sides of Crazy always has something yummy cooking.

Me? The superbowl will likely be on in my house, but I am rarely seated long enough to watch a commercial, let alone the half time show or the game, so I'm sure I won't get to see more than a few minutes of it.

There's always something "more important" to do - like help with homework, change the cat litter, wash clothes, clean the kitchen, plan lessons, and I could go on. So, I hope I get to see the new clever commercials, but as for watching the game, it's probably not going to happen.

I am rooting for the Cardinals, however. Being from Houston back in the days of the Oilers and Bum Phillips, I would be a traitor to root for the Steelers. Besides, the mascot at the school where I teach is the Cardinal, so, Cards it is. How about you?

  1. When it was just hubby,me, & my daughter, I was pleased that sports was never on our t.v. Hubby enjoys sports, but he doesn't necessarily enjoy watching them on tv.

Then I had a son. A son who loves sports. So, yes, the game will be on. The boys will watch the action. The girls will watch the commercials.

They are rooting for the Cards.

The girls? Well, we are more excited about the Office coming on after the game!

  3. You make me giggle. I truthfully am using the super bowl as an excuse for the festivities--good times with good people and yummy food. (my weak spot, always food).

Hope you have a great time!!
