Happy and Random Tuesday

 

Hello!  I hope your week is off to a great start.  My husband and I got to spend time with this little cutie this past weekend.  I'm amazed at how well she is already swimming.  She is definitely not afraid to jump in the pool, even at the "deep end."  She can swim underwater for a pretty good ways.

  She will have a brother or sister at the beginning of October.  I wish I knew if it was a boy or girl, but, alas, they want to be surprised.

New topic... On this day, August 2, 1923, President Warren G. Harding, who was said to be one of the most popular Presidents (how do they even measure that?), died and was succeeded by Calvin Coolidge.

August 2 is also Butch Patrick's birthday.  He is 69 years old today.  Do you remember him?  From the Munsters?  I think I watched that show every day when I was growing up.

And just so you know, there are 151 days left of 2022.  

Moving right along...

I wonder if he appears in the new Top Gun movie.
I haven't seen it.

This just seems so gross to me!  LOL

Hello, friends!  I hope your week has been good.  Mine... it's completed.  I did get a chance to craft just a little bit.  I made a birthday card for my grandbaby.  It was hard to get a picture of it, but I tried.

The picture just doesn't really look like the real thing, but oh, well.  I'm pretty happy with it.

It's hard to believe this was our street a week ago.

The street was solid ice!  We lost power and water for a couple of days, and when the water came back, it was with a boil notice.  That was finally lifted, and it seems we're back to normal.  It was almost 70 degrees out today instead of 19!  I'm grateful for that!

 I took this photo at a park near my home where there are some bodies of water for them to stand in.   I'm not sure if it's an egret or some other type of heron, maybe a blue heron like the one below it? Egrets around here are usually white, and this one is more of a light gray. 

This picture, I believe, is a blue heron which hang around in the park near my house where the kids play baseball.  Anyone know if they are the same species?

 Here is a beautiful purple rose from the arrangement I received from my husband on my birthday.

Purple roses are the result of a hybrid, or cross hybridization.  The meaning of a purple rose varies by its shade.

This is one of my faves even though half of the picture is blurry (it was a picture of a picture from a scrapbook).  My daughter's caption was "The ______ twins: bringing you cute reunions since 2002.

In 2002, they had been separated about a week.  In 2016, on the right, it was about 3 weeks.
