I tried a new dish last week. We spent a couple of days in Lake Charles, Louisiana and went to one of our favorite eating establishments Buffi's Peaux boys. Ratings and comments on Google suggested the cabbage and tasso soup.
What is tasso? I, a girl from the South, did not know what tasso was.
Tasso (often called tasso ham) is a heavily spiced, cured, and hot-smoked pork specialty from south Louisiana and Cajun cuisine.
Whatever the case may be, it was delicious! How often do you try new dishes?
