13 Years Ago Today...

...the most precious miracle happened, through the power or prayer. After losing several pregnancies and going through tests and surgeries, I gave birth to twins, 7 weeks premature. They were small, but healthy, and came home after less than two weeks in the hospital.
Today, they are officially teenagers, sweet when they want to be and sour when they don't! And they won't be spending the day with me, so I took them out to eat last night. Today and tomorrow, they will be at the lake house with our church youth group, because that's what teens do: They hang out with friends. But I decided to send a cake with them.

They will always be my babies, no matter how old they are. I am blessed. Happy birthday!

  1. Happy Birthday to your twins! One is quite beautiful and the other quite handsome. I know they'll enjoy the day with their friends. Because, yes, that's what teens do. I was guilty of it myself. What a great idea to send a cake with them!

  2. Congratulations! I know what it's like to finally have a baby after all that sadness! I'm still enjoying the "I want to be with Mom!" stage, but those teen years are quickly approaching! Have a great day!

  3. I happened over here from an old link on my blog (I've been on a break from blogging and just getting back to it.)

Anyway, I just had to comment. I recently wrote an article for a couple of parenting magazines on preemies. And after writing that article, I have a whole new admiration for moms who had preemies, and the stress and heartache that often comes with that. Happy Birthday to your teenagers!
