Sunday Scrappin'

Welcome to Sunday Scrappin', a place to share our love of paper crafting. Please join us, if you care to! I love visiting the other pages and seeing what everyone has been up to. I get lots of ideas from everyone because I am not the most creative one in this bunch!

Ta-Da's
I met my goals! I made 2 thank you cards, a 2 page layout, and met the Sunday Scrappin' challenge. (I didn't get to the challenge at 52 sketches, but maybe I will since I have one more day.)
The first card was for my mother-and-father-in-law to thank them for a gift card to the spa. I used paper from my stash, my letter stamps, and my *new* ink pad that I got with birthday money. I used the cricut to cut the flowers and stickled the center dots on them.
The next card I made was for my sister to thank her for coming over to visit for my birthday, bringing me scrapping gifts, and taking me to lunch. I used a free image from the internet and used my cricut to cut the circles. You can't really tell, but the lighter colored paper is patterned. I stamped thank you, added some ribbon, and stickled the edges of the text box and circle.
My scrapbook layout is not exactly what I had in mind when I started on it. I wanted the pages to "mirror" each other, and they do, to a certain degree. I used papers from my stash, stickers from my stash, and four curly clips (2 on each page, although they are difficult to see in the photo) to meet the SS Challenge. I cut the letters with my cricut and used my CM wavy cutter on the dance page. I used the Boopee font on Microsoft Word for the journaling. It's really cute! I'm not overjoyed with the pages, but they turned out okay. I wanted to do something fancier, but I just don't have any creativity right now!

To-Do's

1. I received some new stamps that I won from Heavenly Homemaker, and I want to use them to make something, probably a card.

2. I want to get at least two more pages of traditional scrapbooking completed.

3. I want to make a first-day-of-school digital page for the kids' grandmothers. I use Smilebox to make my digital pages.

4. I'm going to check out the new challenge at 52 sketches and the new one at Stamps, Scraps, and More. I should also browse through some sketches at pagemaps to get some ideas.

5. Last, I want to try to set up a time when my sister and I can get together at the Scrapbook Studio for some continuous, fun-filled cropping, or even better, a retreat. We haven't done that in a few years, and it's so fun!

Challenge

Last week's challenge (optional) was to use any kind of paper clip on your layout. I like that Amy, our wonderful hostess, gives us challenges because it gets the creative juices flowing.

This week's challenge is to use orange as the primary color in a project. This has me thinking... Fall, pumpkins, halloween, Thanksgiving, fruit... lots of possibilities.

  1. Hi there!

Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day!

Your thank you cards are beautiful!
I have always been interested in scrap booking, it looks so pretty but I have no idea where to start. I like this meme though, I might join in and start adding something creative to each week.

Hope you're having a super Sunday!

  3. I love the way you mirrored the pages! That is awesome. And the cards are so cute, especially the first one. So do you do digital AND "hard" scrapping? Also, do you print your digital pages?
