Friday Confessions

I'm linking up with High-Heeled Love for some good old-fashioned confession!

I confess...
It's a little sad that all the Christmas decorations are down and ready to go back in the attic for another 11 months.  We had a great holiday!

I confess...
I'm not ready to return to work Monday.  My daughter will still be here from college.  She's not due back until the 12th.

I confess...
I've had school work to do during this break, and I still haven't touched any of it.  I have three more days.  Nothing like procrastination.

I confess...
I'm tired of being sick.  I've had coughing, fever off and on, wheezing, fatigue.  The cough is deep, down in my chest, and the mucus isn't coming up the way it should, and when some of it does, it is so gross.  I went to the doctor, and perhaps I'm a little better now than I was five days ago, but still not well.  I took a z-pack, and that usually wipes out whatever I have, but not this time.  I had just been on a steroid pack for allergies right before this all started.
And I confess...
I was home by 10:30 on New Year's Eve.  My husband and I went to watch our favorite team, the Houston Rockets.  It was an early 6PM game.  We stopped to eat on the way home, and we were in our jammies on the couch by 10:30.  Wooooo Hooooooo!  Party animals!  We are both perfectly fine with not being out partying.  In fact, he went to bed before midnight, and I went to bed shortly after, which is against my night-owl-nature, but having been so sick, I was drained!

I wish you and your family the happiest New Year ever!

  1. Hope that you get to enjoy some more time with your daughter before she heads back to school, and that you feel better soon.

We had a quiet New Year's Eve as well. I spent the evening snuggling with the new pup on the couch and watching a movie.

Thanks for joining the Friday Confessional party; have a fabulous weekend!

  2. As one wise man once said: "He who can speak and write the word procrastination is already too late!"

  3. I hope you feel better soon! Enjoy the time with your daughter. As for New Year's Eve it sounds like Todd and I we were in bed early.
