Friday Confessional

Mamarazzi is back!  Link up at Dandelion Wishes for some Friday Confessions.

I confess...

I thought today was Thursday.  I was so disappointed when I was reminded that it is Friday.  I feel like I lost a day, and I am not ready to go back to work next week!

I confess...

It really bothers me when my daughter's director doesn't respect my time.  Practice is supposed to be over at 8:30.  It's at least 9 by the time she actually finishes up, and I am stuck waiting in the car for her for at least half an hour every time.  I could just show up late, but then I run the risk of her actually getting out on time and having to sit in front of school in the dark waiting for me.

I confess...

I also don't understand scheduling practice during the holidays.  She has to go to practice two days before school resumes.
I confess...

I haven't taken down one single Christmas decoration yet, but it needs to be put up this weekend.  Oh well.  Maybe later!

And I confess...

I felt some Christmas grinchiness this year.  First of all, it was so drawn out starting out on the 21st with a visit to my mom.  On the 22nd, we opened our gifts because our older daughter had to work on the 23rd.  The 23rd, we went to my sister's.  The 24th, we went to my step-son's house.  And then the kids' dad picked them up that afternoon.  Then my in-law's on the 25th.  Why couldn't we just all gather at one place at one time and "do" Christmas?  I am usually full of the Christmas spirit, but I have to admit, it was hard to feel it after the third, fourth, fifth day!

What have you got to confess today?

  1. I did not have much Christmas Spirit this year either. It's hard when the kids are not there either. That will be me next year.

I agree with the practice. Joshua's Swing Choir director did the same thing...late and holidays.

I hope you have a Happy New Year!

  2. i hear ya on the house hopping. this year we did a little of that 3 hour drive for Christmas Eve with my in laws then 3 hour drive to my folks from there. at least most of my siblings brought their families to my folk's...it made for a looong Christmas morning but it was fun to be ALL together and just get it done!

you should talk to your daughter's coach, that is not right!

thanks for linking up, Happy New Year!!
