Aloha Friday

Aloha Friday is hosted by Kailani at An Island Life.   In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link here.

What is your best New Year's Eve memory?

In 2000, hubby and I were then dating and out for coffee at Deny's. The song "More Than Words" came on and he grabbed me and started dancing with me in the middle of the place! I will never forget it :)

Hmmm, would it be terrible to admit that they're all a blur? Mostly because I would always be so sleepy! LOL! Maybe the best would be my first NYE with my husband in Vegas! :-)

In 2000. We were at our best friend's house, kids too (that was the year that the news was ramping up about a terrorist attack)and we were all around and glued to the TV and our friend snuck behind us and let off quite a few poppers at the same time and we were all screaming. LOL. It was funny at the time.

when my kids were young teens and had there first New Year's sleepover. I could hear them having a blast in the living room whil hubby and I cuddled in our room watching the ball drop.

Growing up we would rent movies and camp out in the living room : )

My best New Year's memories are from being a kid. It was so much fun being allowed to stay up late and my mom would always get our favorite bad for you foods like nachos and cheese.

For me, it's any New Year's Eve spent with friends and family. Now that we've moved away from other family members, we go to a child-themed park across the street where they have lots of fun-filled activities for the little ones. Once we get home and she is off to bed, hubby and I usually break open a bottle of wine and watch Anderson and Kathy on TV. Quiet but works for now.

Happy Friday!

My best NYE was spent in NYC with my husband. We were high above the crowds in our hotel with the window wide open watching the ball drop a block away in Times Square.

That's sad- I can't think of one.

My best New Year's Eve memory is 1999 when I was in Reno visiting my best friend and we were at a Genesis concert when midnight struck...it was an amazing event and experience! :)

Hope you have a Happy New Year! :)

I really loved NYE several years ago. It was the night we booked a big family vacation for the next year. We sat with the kids showing them photos of our honeymoon, watched television, and stayed up as late as possible together.

It would have to be last New Year's where I spent it in Times Square and jumped into the freezing Atlantic on New Year's Day. :-)

The only thing I can think of right now is when my mother brought us all home some noise makers to party with. It was fun.

Years ago Disneyland had a New Year's Eve Party with special tickets and a limited number of people that hubby and I would go to. We'd leave early on New Year's Eve and get a hotel room, go out to a nice dinner and then send the night in the Magic Kingdom.

Oh that's easy!! In 2001 my then boyfriend asked me to marry him. We have now been married for 8 and a half years. :) It's funny because as much as I know that I never think about that on New Year's Eve. Now I will tonight. Thanks!! :)
