Random Happy Tuesday

Stacy Uncorked hosts Random Tuesday Thoughts

Comedy Plus hosts Happy Tuesday.

Mom has been in assisted living for almost a week, and I'm still not sure how I feel about it.  We are doing all we can to make sure she is comfortable and taken care of.  Questions... does the guilt ever go away?

I was watching 20/20 yesterday about an 11 year old convicted of killing his step-mom and his unborn brother or sister.  This makes me so sad.  He was in jail with ADULTS for a long time before he was transferred to juvenile court.  The judge found him guilty of double homicide with very little evidence.  Nine years later he was exonerated.  What an awful case!

I thought, "He's probably the youngest person in the US to be convicted of murder."  I was wrong!  According to Wikipedia (I know!  I know!) the youngest murderer in the US was only six years old.  SIX years old!  I cannot comprehend that.

Here's something that is much more fun!  A couple of weeks ago, a researcher was viewing live footage of the ocean floor, and what did he see?  Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick Star!

Now this...

With all the complaining we here about wearing masks, here's a different type of complaint...

I don't think scientists have identified exactly what makes cats purr, but at least they attempt to explain it.

I think my driving works on muscle memory.
I often forget where I am going, at least momentarily!

Last, but not least...
I prefer to see it as Harry Potter even though I'm over 40!
Who else does this remind you of?

Have a great week!

  1. Great funnies. Mom will drive for a long time and then all of the sudden say she doesn't remember the last so many miles. I guess she is paying attention but maybe day dreaming?

  2. Yes the guilt will go away. You can't do what you can't do and you did all you could to get your mom the care she needs. That's a good thing.

I didn't hear about this little one that went to prison. Goodness.

Love all the funnies. It's good to be happy.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. ♥

  3. Feelings aren't facts, but they do tell us something about ourselves. Your guilt says you are doing everything you can, and trust me, your mother is much better off than many in those places who are parked there and then forgotten and don't get looked after properly.

The funnies are great, and why did the cat remind me of Janis Joplin? Does that mean i'm weird? Probably, as if anyone needed more proof.

  4. The mask and bra made me chuckle. LOts of stuff isn't fun, we just have to grin and bear it in all types of situations. I thought Benjamin Franklin! The glasses, I think. Good thoughts from eveyrone. Prayers for your mom. Life is hard, I have a friend who use to visit her aunt aaaaat the assisted living center. This was before 2020. She loved the lunch there so often ate with her aunt and then started using their beauty salon. HeeHeeHee, my other friend was caregiver to her aunt and aunt was 93 when she broke her hip. She was very independent but needed to be in a place where someone could assist her when necessary. My friends mom and her aunt could not live together. I think it all worked out. Some folks love the company they find in places. I think it takes time to adjust to any new situation. Many prayers for you and your mom.
