H**L Yes!

The first winner did not respond, so the winner of my copy of the book is Tamy from 3 Sides of Crazy!

Sometimes I have a hard time making decisions, especially making decisions that involve the word, "No." So, this little book, HELL YES! has helped me put things into perspective.

Meet author Elizabeth Cogswell Baskin at right.

We all get so busy, taking care of our families, working, volunteering, chauffering our children, trying to spend time with friends, pursuing our interests. cleaning our home, paying our bills, and working some more. Sometimes, we need to stop, assess our situation, and learn when to say no without feeling guilty.

HELL Yes! is cleverly and concisely written with colorful illustrations (click here to get a glimpse of the book or purchase one for yourself). And the concept is simple: if it's not a heck yes, it's a NO. Yup, it's that simple.

I don't have an extra copy to give away, but I'm willing to give away my copy. It's still in brand new condition, and it might just help someone else. Would you like to have it? Just leave a comment on this post. Random.org will help me pick a number on Memorial Day.

Friday Fill-in

I haven't participated in Friday Fill-ins for a while, but I'm back! These fill-in-the-blanks are fun. Won't you join in? Click here to go to the homepage.

These were all taken from springtime quotes, but I'm going to fill in my own thoughts.

1. If we had no winter, we'd have no Christmas, and I wouldn't like that!

2. Men are a perpetual astonishment.

3. If I had my life to live over, I would only want to do so if I could keep all of the knowledge that I have now.

4. I've taken several trips to school inside of four and twenty hours.

5. If you've never been thrilled, you've never ridden Everest at DisneyWorld's Animal Kingdom.

6. To be interested in the changing seasons is to appreciate nature.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to scrapbooking with some friends, tomorrow my plans include sleeping late and a little shopping, and Sunday, I want to go to church, help my kids start planning their birthday celebrations, and I'll have to go to the dreaded grocery store.

Have a great weekend!

Sunday Scrappin'

Yes, I realize it's not Sunday. I'm a day late, but I just couldn't get my photo uploaded until today, and the photo didn't come out well because I need a new camera. But here it is anyway! I started some layouts over a week ago and just couldn't get my creative juices flowing, but I did manage to finish one of the two-page layouts Sunday. This is one of our days at the Magic Kingdom last spring break. Happy crafting to all!

It's Just My Opinion

Angels & Demons Angels & Demons by Dan Brown

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is possibly the best book I've read since The Kite Runner! It was even better than The Davinci Code. I never picked it up before because the title turned me off. Big mistake. I finally decided to read it since the movie is coming out. I'm sure the movie will not be as good as the book, but I still want to see it.

The book is fascinating - full of suspense and action. There is also rich history about Rome and The Vatican. Dan Brown did his research well! The plot kept me guessing until the end, even if I did have to suspend reality for a little while.

It's a long read, but I highly recommend it!
