Random Happy Tuesday

Welcome.  I'm linking up with Sandee and Stacy.

The Covid-19 vaccine is here!  My step-son, who is a healthcare provider, will likely get vaccinated today or tomorrow, even though he has some reservations about it.  If I were still teaching, I would be in the next group after frontline workers to get it.  I'm thankful I'm retired now, though.

I'm sure you've heard about the 2 people in the UK that had allergic reactions to the virus.  There is actually a 3rd person now.  UK health authorities say that People with a "significant history of allergic reactions" should not be given the vaccine.

The CDC here in the U.S. is contradicting that.  They say that people with severe allergic reactions can still get the vaccine as long as they are monitored for 30 minutes after the injection.  Well... as a person who has had more allergic reactions than I can count - to a wide variety of medicines as well as the tetanus vaccine -  I'm going to need to see what happens to other people first.  I have had anaphylaxis (also called anaphylactic shock) multiple times, one in which I stopped breathing.  Thank goodness for epinephrine!  So I am going to wait. I won't say no forever, just for now.  My husband, on the other hand, will likely get one as soon as he is able to.

On to cheerier topics.  Are you ready for Christmas?  I'm in the Christmas mood!  My son took me on an outing last night.  He surprised me with hot cocoa and let me listen to Christmas music while we drove around looking at lights.  It was so fun!  We may do it again before Christmas is over.

I have almost all of my shopping done.  Well, all but maybe two gifts.  I still have some hand-made items to finish.  I haven't wrapped anything yet, though.  Last year I was so busy I didn't wrap many presents until Christmas Eve, and I don't want to do that this year.

And now...

I would never do that!!!!  Or would I?

I actually said this to my husband a few weeks ago.  It's a good box!

I was thinking about ordering this shirt!  LOL!

And last, but not least...

Have a great week!

  2. Great funnies. Mom got her brother the pizza shirt last year, he is crazy about pizza. No vaccine wanted here. Mom will wait a long time until she is sure it is safe and worth it.
