Windex Mini Review & Giveaway

Jessica is the winner!
What happens to those plastic bottles of cleaning supplies when the cleaner runs out? Some of it is recycled, but much of it ends up in our landfills.

The smart people at SC Johnson have introduced a "green" solution: The Windex Mini Concentrate. This is a Windex refill that comes in a small, flexible pouch. Simply add the contents of the pouch and 22 ounces of  water to your existing empty bottle, and you have original Windex cleaner!  You're also creating a big change.

In this economy, we are all concerned with saving money.  The Windex Mini concentrated refill pouches will save you money over having to buy full-size bottles.  And concentrates require about 90% less packaging than ready-to-use bottles.  They are also easier to transport.

Think of the plastic that we could avoid using!

Using your Windex Mini, you'll get the same cleaning power and streak-free shine as the regular bottled Windex.  I use it on counter tops, mirrors, and appliances.  Windex also makes a great stain remover on carpet.

At this time, Windex Mini refills are being sold online only.  They are sold in packages of  3 via the SC Johnson website for only $7.50.  If the company can prove to retailers that the product will sell well, we may seem them on the shelves at our local grocery stores.  SC Johnson is asking people to visit their website and leave comments about the product.

Giveaway!  SC Johnson has generously agreed to send one of my readers a Windex Concentrate Refill Mini.  It's easy to enter! Please leave a SEPARATE comment for each entry. This giveaway will remain open until Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at 11:59 PM CST. (US residents only, please)

  2. I collect the aluminum cans from my work each week and give them to my sister to recycle and make a little money on. I get tired of hauling them from work to her house, but it was worth it when she used the money for her vacation!
