Brighten Your Day with Windex

Random.org chose #11. The winner is Queen Size Funny Bone! After Thanksgiving, the kitchen was a mess! So I pulled out the Windex Multi-Surface with Vinegar that I received recently, and tackled the mess. Windex Multi-Surface is gentle and safe on all of your surfaces such as marble, granite, formica, ceramic, stainless steel, glass, and more. And the vinegar makes a tough cleaner. It also has a pleasant smell. It worked so well on the whole kitchen, and using only one cleaner saved time! I bet you could use a good cleaner before your Christmas guests arrive.

And I have one to give away to one of you. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post before December 11, 2010, 11:59 CST.

Secret Santa

Do you "play" the secret santa game at work, school, or in an organization of some kind? If so, and you have unique suggestions or tips, please comment away! I went and did it today. I volunteered to organize our secret santa exchange this year, and I've never done one before. Wish me luck!

Thursday Thirteen

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, I had the pleasure of spending some time with my 19 year old nephew. We had a blast! One thing we did was surf the Internet. He found a site with PhilosoRaptor quotes and made me laugh out loud at some of the way-too-logical observations and crazy questions (which completely surprises me because of it's liberal, irreverent nature), so I am sharing 13 of my favorites with you. 1. If money doesn't grow on trees, why do banks have branches?

2. If actions speak louder than words, is the pen really mightier than the sword?

3. Two wrongs don't make a right, but two Wrights make a plane.

4. If 4 out of 5 people suffer from diarrhea, does the 5th one enjoy it?

5. If someone with a split personality threatens to commit suicide, is it a hostage situation?

6. Is a rivalry between two vegetarians still called a beef?

7. Why do they use sterile needles for a lethal injection?

8. If I fail at life, does that mean I win at death?

9. Doesn’t expecting the unexpected make the unexpected expected?

10. If tomatoes are a fruit, isn’t ketchup technically a smoothie?

11. Can you get cornered in a round room?

12. If Mac users care more about the environment than Windows users, then why do Macs have a trash can and Windows has a recycle bin?

13. If dull scissors are called safety scissors, are sharp scissors called danger scissors?

Bonus! Is there another word for synonym?

This week I want to remind you about the Holiday Mail for Heroes campaign sponsored by the American Red Cross. Regardless of our political opinions, these men and women serve our country in many ways, and Christmas is an especially good time to recognize them for their service.

Once you're sure you've met all the guidelines, you can send your cards to this address:

Holiday Mail for Heroes
PO Box 5456
Capitol Heights, MD
20791-5456

Cards must be post-marked by December 10, 2010, so time's a'wastin'!
