Random Tuesday

Happy Tuesday!

Sunday and Monday weren't much fun for me, not that they usually are, but it was made worse from something I ate - from Wendy's, I think - that didn't agree with me. It was my son's choice, but next time, I will get him something, but skip it for myself.

My precious mother-in-law has been at home from the hospital for almost a week now.  She has a tumor on her brain, and they thought they might operate, but they decided not to for whatever reason.  She has been doing so much better since she came home.  The hospital is such a dreary place with the beeps, alarms, visitors, nurses checking on you all the time, not to mention, the IV medicine.  I know she is more comfortable at home.  Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and/or prayers.

I watched part of the NCAA Men's Basketball championship.  I was rooting for Texas Tech, because, well, it's in Texas!  And one of our daughter's and her husband both graduated from Tech.  When it went into overtime, I was hopeful, but it wasn't meant to be.

You may be wondering why a Texas Tech fan threw a tortilla on the court.  It's a strange tradition, one that has been outlawed at their football field, but it has two possible origins.  One is that students used to throw their drink lids on the field, but when the drink lids were gone, they started throwing tortillas.  Another version of the story stems from a comment by an ESPN announcer who said there was "nothing but Tech football and a tortilla factory in Lubbock."  Regardless of which version you believe, it's a thing.  A weird thing, but a thing nonetheless.

More funny stuff:

Wish I'd thought of this!

And some cuteness:

  3. So glad your mother-in-law is doing better. Definitely more comfortable to be at home instead of in the hospital.

LOVE all your funnies! That last one with the kitties in the cup was extra giggle-worthy. :)
