Professional Crisis

I have been dealing with a crisis at work the last couple of days.  I am sure the person who set this in motion doesn't see it as a crisis, but it's my career she is defaming.  It's my right to confidentiality that she has breached.  And it's my reputation that is at stake.  And I believe it is all because she is friends with a co-worker who strongly dislikes hates my best friend.  And it is also because I will not do things the way she wants me to concerning one, particular matter, and she wants to exert her power over me.  Since she is one of my immediate supervisors, I believe what she is doing could be classified as harassment - not in a sexual way - but in a "bullying" manner.  I believe she is trying to "put me in my place."  In my entire career, I have never been so humiliated.

She picked the wrong person to whom to do this.  I am in the process of filing a grievance which I will take to her immediate supervisor, hopefully on Monday.  I will see if any recourse is taken, and if I have to go over that person's head, I will.  I will take back my professional reputation, and I will have some satisfaction when my rights are once again protected.

I would never have thought that I would be targeted in this manner.  How juvenile this is.  Grown women who are supposed to be professional "bullying" a co-worker.  That is what this boils down to.

  1. I wish you the best of luck. I know how it feels to be bullied at work...MISERABLE. You are absolutely right, it is not professional one bit.
