Friday Confessional

Confession is good for the soul! Just ask Mamarrazzi and Glamazon.

I confess...

I still make lunches for my children. But... they aren't really "children" anymore. Two ninth graders and a senior. Yup. I know. They should do it themselves! My 9th grade daughter has been doing her own lately because she doesn't like sandwiches anymore, or I forgot to put a napkin in it last time, so she'll just do it herself (insert eye roll). But... I basically still make their lunches. I'm such a pushover!

I confess...

I soooo want to skip work tomorrow (which is actually today, Friday)! The teacher is supposed to want to go to school! But... We've had three days in a row of state testing (my children and my students) and benchmarks, not to mention my children's homework coming out the wazoo, and of course, they need my help, and I'm just ready for my weekend to start. NOW! I'm tired. I won't play hooky, but I WANT to! Especially now as it keeps getting later and later!

I confess...

I enjoy getting things like this! Thanks, Jolene. I will post about it this weekend.

  1. Girl, I've been there. Are you a teacher in Texas? I've done the 3 days in a row testing. It's painful.

    You should totally play hooky!

And if you still want to make their lunches, then you should and don't feel bad. =)

  2. I wish I had more time in the morning to make lunch for my oldest--time just gets away from me. I think he is going to learn to make his own sandwiches.
My oldest starts taking those tests next year. Not really looking forward to it.

  4. Congrats on your award! Cute kitty! :)

I would totally still make Isaiah's lunch when he's in high school if he still wanted me to...I'm a push over like that too!

Hope you have a great weekend!

  5. Whew!!! I was totally feeling guilty about not wanting to do homework with my kids in the evenings. I just keep thinking - I've been doing work with kids all day teaching them how to do these very things! I'm ready to take a break!
