This is book one of Marjorie's Cozy Kitten Cafe series. It's very similar to the Sweet Baked Mystery Series which was a fun read. I love cats and kittens and cozy mysteries, so how can it go wrong? It can't!
The setting is Hanmer Springs, same as the Sweet Baked Mysteries, so I feel like I already know the town. Some of the characters seem familiar as well. Marjorie Hardaway, owner of the Cozy Kitten Cafe, is worried because a development company is building a rival cafe blocking the beautiful view she currently has now. In the midst of this drama, a murder occurs in the small community, and Marjorie's friend is a suspect. On top of this, an eligible bachelor makes an appearance.
There is a series of problems to solve, and Katherine Hayton will get them ironed out in this easy-to-read mystery with no graphic scenes, no swearing, and no cliffhangers. If you like kittens and cozy mysteries, this book will be great for you.
