Aloha Friday

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday, sponsored by An Island Life. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend.
Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link here.

I was summoned to jury duty on Monday for an aggravated robbery case.  I wanted to get selected, simply to avoid a crazy week at work, but I wasn't chosen.  I've served on one jury before, a civil case.

My question is... Have you ever served on a jury?  If so, what kind of case was it?

  1. KNock On WOod -

  2. I did once but the case ended up getting dismissed. Lucky me!

  3. With being from a police family, I do not. I have a pretty strong opinion on crime. guilty, guilty, guilty. this make me not a good candidate;)

  4. I sure haven't

  5. I have only gotten the of yet.

    Have a great weekend!

  6. Selected several times but never had to serve.

  7. I've never been summoned for jury duty - until a couple of years ago...but it was going to be a major 2+ week inconvenience, so I wrote a letter to the court asking to be excused from jury duty since we didn't have childcare (I did get excused). Now if I had been summoned when I was still working, I would have done everything in my power to be chosen to have some time off work and still get paid! ;)

    Black Friday vs. Cyber Monday

  8. I'm 62 years old, and I've never served on a jury -- never even been invited! I love NCIS, CSI, Law and Order ... all of those shows ... and I would LOVE to serve on a jury. Go figure.

    Thank you!
