Random Tuesday and Coffee Chat

Join Stacy for some Randomness!

Wow!  I have been a slacker lately!  But only where writing for the blog is concerned.  I can't believe it's only Tuesday!  Work is so busy!  I know I shouldn't wish my life away, but I can't wait for June 3.  That's when I'll be FREEEEEEEE!  Well, free for 2 and a half months, anyway, so I can concentrate on more important tasks such as helping both my son and daughter get settled at college and maybe, just maybe, getting started on wedding plans for another daughter.  Exciting!

So my husband left the cat out for a little while, even though she's an INDOOR cat, so I had to give her a bath last night.  Yes, you heard "cat" and "bath" in the same sentence.  She doesn't like it, but she tolerates it.  She's all clean now!

Sunday I received this picture from my daughter:

She is studying abroad, and they are on a trip to France (duh).  It's so beautiful!  I envy my own daughter.  My husband has promised me a trip to Europe within the next five years.  By then, all the kids should be out of college, and maybe I will get to retire early so I can have a flexible schedule.

And I also got this cute video from my daughter (the one who's engaged).

Adorable!  Takes less than a minute to watch, but the cuteness will have you feeling good all day!

And now, it's time for Coffee Chat

Our hostess asks
How's it Hanging?
Tell us about one of your favorite hangouts

I don't really hang out anymore.  Well, I guess that's not completely true. I guess my favorite spot to hang out now is in my daughter's room.  I can watch whatever I want on TV (she has a large one hanging on the wall), I can get school work done, and it's cozy.  Another "hangout" I have right now is Facebook Messenger on my phone.  I only have myself available to one person, and that's my daughter who is studying abroad.  As long as she has WiFi, we can send messages back and forth, and we can even talk to each other, and it's all FREE!

Mostly, I hang out at home, and if I'm not cleaning or cooking, I enjoy sleeping!  Guess that's all for now!

  1. We could start our own Slacker Club! :) I've been guilty of that, too - and like you, it's been so crazy busy. C.R.A.Z.Y. :)

What are you, a cat whisperer? I could only imagine giving one of our cats a bath, they'd shred us. Well, maybe the calico's might actually tolerate it, they're little love bugs. :)

Awesome picture from your daughter! I'm a bit envious of her, too - that's one of the many places I want to visit before it's my time to 'cross over'. :) Hope you get to enjoy the promised trip!

LOVED that video! What's funny is it reminds me of the first time Princess Nagger saw a ceiling fan for the first time. :)

Sounds like you have the perfect place to hang out!!

Thanks for hanging in with this slacker so diligently!! :) Enjoy the rest of your week! :)

  2. I don't think looking forward to some down time is wishing your life away at all. Life is soooo busy, and sometimes just knowing that break is in the distance, gives you the energy now to Just Keep Swimming. I think I have become incapable of "Slacking." Even the other day when I was in chill mode because I was forcefully making myself do it, I had to do a load of laundry to justify my laziness that day. Which is crazy!! We all deserve a rest at some point.

You know them cats want to jump at it!!! LOL
oh my gosh, that was too funny.

Home is not a bad hangout at all. After all -- you pay for it!! Might as well get your money worth. :)
